Open Heavens 2012-25 December-NO EMPTY HANDS!

Pst. E.A. Adeboye 25 December

NO EMPTY HANDS!

Memorise: I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lard Jesus, haw he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35

Read: Deuteronomy 16:16-17

According to Deuteronomy 16:16-17 and Exodus 34:20, while assembling to meet with God, the Lord instructed that nobody should come empty-handed. This shows us another key to financial breakthrough, which is: if you are expecting something from God, never come before Him with bare hands. In the true sense of the word, everyone brings something to God: it is either you carne with something in your hands or you came with emptiness in your hands which you will offer. Hosea 8:7 says:

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up
.
It is very dangerous to come before God with empty hands. It is what He sees in your hands He will multiply (Deuteronomy 28:8, 12), be it a business or an offering. When you come before Him, one question He will always ask is: "What is in your hands?" If you bring Him an offering, Luke 6:38 says God will multiply it and return it to you. But if you come to Him with nothingness, by the time He multiplies that, it will become super nothingness. That means even the little you thought you had will be plundered by devourers.

If you have some money but refuse to take it to church because it will go for offering and so you go empty handed to God, who gave you the money in the first place, you could lose it. You could lose it to strangers - fraudsters, sickness and the likes, and there will be no reward since you never brought it to God. That is a double loss! On the other hand, you may say, "What can 1 give since I have no money?" You can take up some menial assignments, earn some money and have something to give to God because you don't want to appear empty before God. The Lord will see your faith and honour it and pave way for your desired breakthrough. Besides cash, you can use your time to work for Him, to evangelise and win souls for Him. You can promise God one soul for every offering you have no money to give and at the end, God will see you as the greatest donor in your church and He will reward you accordingly even when nobody else is aware.

ACTION POINT:
Henceforth, whenever you enter His presence, do not do so with empty hands.
