MIRACLE FACTOR

Memorise: He roiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them. 1 Samuel 2:8

Read: Exodus 2:11-15

As a Mathematician, I will try to explain the miracle factor in God's promise to Abraham in mathematical terms. There were two variables - Abraham and Sarah, and God promised to multiply them to produce a result as uncountable as the sand on the sea shore. That was the first equation. In the second equation, the Lord promised to multiply the two variables who were rooted in obscurity (completely unknown), to produce a result as glorious and numerous as the stars of heaven. Usually, God's major promise to an individual may be in his or her greatest area of need although other promises may cover other areas. If you compare Joseph and Abraham, you will find that God promised Joseph greatness by exalting him among his family but he had to wait to receive the promise. His waiting period took him to a strange land, slavery and prison yard before he actualised the promise on the throne of Egypt as the prime minister. On his part, God promised Abraham a child, a land and a seed through whom the whole world would be blessed - Jesus Christ. But he too had to wait by moving from place to place, facing different challenges to his life, wife and household in the process.

One thing is certain: your present location cannot hinder the fulfilment of God's promise in your life. God can lift anybody up, even from the prison to the throne like He did to Joseph; He can delist the barren from barrenness and make her a joyful mother of children like He did to Hannah. The Lord can break the status of poverty and move the fellow into abundance. Moses too had to wait for God to fulfil His promise to liberate the Israelites from Egypt. Initially, when he was too hasty and decided to jump ahead of God in his zeal, he got into a problem that could have cost him his destiny, if not for God's mercy and power. While he waited, Pharaoh resisted his mission until his waiting period was over and the King of kings broke through Pharaoh's resistance and set God's people free. As you wait on Him, your time will come and when your time comes, nothing can hinder the fulfilment of His promises in your life.

ACTION POINT
Ask God to lift every member of His church worldwide from the dung hill to the throne.
